We are of Gambian descent and although I believe my father is a great cook he is not always knowledgeable on all dishes and that also has alot to do with his tribe so my husband and I were looking online for recipes and came across this book and decided to purchase it in hopes of expanding our horizons in the kitchen and dinner options of course, lols. The Gambian Cookbook is a paperback or a softcover book that has over 100 recipes and is pretty detailed instructional wise. All in all we have learned a few new dishes and we are happy with our purchase, I just wish the cover was a hardback.Product details

For an American, converting the measurements is a bit of a chore, but this is most helpful Gambian recipe resource I've found. Having lived with a Gambian host family for two years, I found a few of the ingredients to be slightly inaccurate but easily substituted.
